LIVING OUR CONSECRATION to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Update No. 03/2012
April 7, 2012

Dear brothers and sisters in the MMP,

Ave Maria!

The Monthly Update now comes in this new format, to distinguish it from the Weekly Reflection. (Note: This comes in PDF file for those that are sent through email.) I apologize for the late posting of this March issue. Briefly, here are some updates. These are purely personal.

I resumed doing the cenacle with priests on the first day of March. It was held at the Immaculate Conception Parish, my new assignment in Sangandaan. Eight priests came. This, for me, was very affirming to our gathering. The cenacle of priests is very precious to Our Lady, because the MMP is first and foremost a priestly Movement. Through the cenacle, She forms an army of priests, through whom, together with the lay faithful, She wants to form her invincible cohort (Message 25 g). So, pray that more priests would respond and that more cenacles be formed for them. Our cenacle is held every second Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This is the reflection aired in our weekly radio program, now made available in print since the middle of March. Thru email, our radio broadcast has widened its reach, here and abroad. This must really be Our Lady’s wish. But, it’s the cenacle being aired here (in the radio program), which has been full of extra-ordinary graces. This, I believe, gave birth to the weekly reflection. I thought of this with what Our Lady said: "Soon you will understand fully the great gift which I have given you. Then, you will come to know why I have wanted you here, in a cenacle which has been full of extra-ordinary graces for you and for all scattered throughout every part of the world (Message 178 p)". The weekly reflection is certainly Our Lady’s “great gift” to us, and to all her children.

                                                 Barcelona, Sorsogon

I was in Barcelona, Sorsogon last March 16 - 18 for the Cenacle Orientation at the Parish of St. Joseph. The beautiful old church indicates a strong religious influence of the Spanish missionaries. This is visible in the participants’ simple but deep religiosity, that easily made them receptive to the spirit of the MMP. I thank their priest, Fr. Philip Renovalles, for welcoming the Movement in his parish. I am eager to return for the follow-up formation sought right at the end of the orientation.

God bless you all.

Yours in the Immaculate Heart,

Fr. Omer
